Abstract
Over the past years, many stud ies have eval u ated the as so ci a tion be tween ge netic vari a tions and atherothrombotic dis or ders in the world. While eth nic back ground plays an im por tant role in the study of ge-netic risk fac tors, data from Cau ca sians could not be di rectly ap plied to the Ori en tal pop u la tions.
