Abstract
A birth is the proof of continuity of a species: a new being that is an heir to legacies, whether personal or material. A birth is the beginning of life. Most likely, the characteristics a baby is born with have impacts on the rest of his/her life. Scientists and philosophers focus on birth characteristics in different ways in order to estimate whether a child is healthy or not at birth.
