Abstract
This project details the construction and analysis of a percussive agent, able to add timbales accompaniment to pre-recorded salsa music. We propose, implement and test a novel representational structure specific to latin music, inspired by Lerdahl and Jackendo#'s General Theory of Tonal Music, and incorporating specific domain knowledge. This is found to capture the relevant information but lack some flexibility.
