Abstract—Reducing power consumption of wireless networks has become a major goal in designing modern multimedia wireless systems. In an effort to reduce power consumption, this paper addresses the issue of scheduling real-time messages in multimedia wireless networks subject to both timing and power constraints. A power-consumption model is introduced to calculate powerconsumption rates in accordance with message-transmission rates. Next, a new message-scheduling scheme called Power-aware Real-time Message (PARM) is developed to generate messagetransmission schedules that minimize power consumption of multimedia wireless-network interfaces and the probability of missing deadlines for real-time messages. With a power-aware scheduling policy in place, the proposed PARM scheme is very energyefficient. Experimental results based on a wide variety of synthetic workloads and eight real-world applications show that PARM significantly reduces energy dissipation while maintaining low missed rates. PARM reduces power consumption of data transmissions by up to 99.4 % (with an average of 86.7%) for synthetic network traffic and saves energy by up to 60.0 % (with an average of 34.1%) in the eight real-world applications. Index Terms—Energy conservation, multimedia wireless systems, power-aware scheduling, real-time messages. I.

This paper develops a new mathematical model of a system with a novel approach, which consists of two independent repairable subsystems. The model is analyzed under “Headof-Line” repair policy considering two types of repair between two successive transitions at a stage contrast to the normal practice of assuming single type of transition in all states. Supplementary variable technique, Laplace transformation and Gumbel-Hougaard family copula techniques are applied to obtain the availability and cost analysis of the system. At last some numerical examples have been taken to illustrate the model.

Services are preprocessed based on clustering techniques in the levels of function and similarity of services. Service clustering is modeled by means of the passing value indeterminacy of logic Petri nets. Thus service clustering can be described, and the services with indeterminacy parameters can be modeled formally. Thus service composition is investigated under the classified architecture of service clustering. The architecture of dynamic service composition is given, and logic Petri nets are used for service realization. Services can be combined rapidly and automatically, and the path of a composition service can be constructed by automatic inference.

Abstract- This project work aims to develop a dynamic slack management technique, for real-time distributed embedded systems to reduce the total energy consumption in addition to timing, precedence and resource constraints. The Slack Distribution Technique proposed considers a modified Feedback Control Scheduling (FCS) algorithm. This algorithm schedules dependent tasks effectively with precedence and resource constraints. It further minimizes the schedule length and utilizes the available slack to increase the energy efficiency. A fault tolerant mechanism uses a deferred-active-backup scheme increases the schedulability and provides reliability to the system.

Abstract- In this paper we investigate the different techniques of fault tolerance which are used in many real time distributed systems. The main focus is on types of fault occurring in the system, fault detection techniques and the recovery techniques used. A fault can occur due to link failure, resource failure or by any other reason is to be tolerated for working the system smoothly and accurately. These faults can be detected and recovered by many techniques used accordingly. An appropriate fault detector can avoid loss due to system crash and reliable fault tolerance technique can save from system failure. This paper provides how these methods are applied to detect and tolerate faults from various Real Time Distributed Systems.
