The three dimensional N = 2 supersymmetric ChernSimons theory coupled to matter fields, possibly deformed by a superpotential, give rise to a large class of exactly conformal theories with Lagrangian descriptions. These theories can be arbitrarily weakly coupled, and hence can be studied perturbatively. We study the theories in the large N limit, and compute the twoloop anomalous dimension of certain long operators. Our result suggests that various N = 2 U(N) ChernSimons theories coupled to suitable matter fields are dual to open or closed string theories in AdS4, which are not yet constructed.

Abstract: TBA equations for twoparticle states from the sl(2) sector proposed by Arutyunov, Suzuki and the author are solved numerically for the Konishi operator descendent up to ’t Hooft’s coupling λ ≈ 2046. The data obtained is used to analyze the properties of Yfunctions and address the issue of the existence of the critical values of the coupling. In addition we find a new integral representation for the BES dressing phase which substantially reduces the computational time.

The onedimensional Hubbard model is an exceptional integrable spin chain which is apparently based on a deformation of the Yangian for the superalgebra gl(22). Here we investigate the quantumdeformation of the Hubbard model in the classical limit. This leads to a novel classical rmatrix of trigonometric kind. We derive the corresponding oneparameter family of Lie bialgebras as a deformation of the affine gl(22) Kac–Moody superalgebra. In particular, we discuss the affine extension as well as discrete symmetries, and we scan for simpler limiting cases, such as the rational rmatrix for the undeformed Hubbard model. ∗Typeset in GoTEXLitetm ar

We explicitly construct a large class of finitevolume twomagnon string solutions moving on × S2. In particular, by making use of the relationship between the O(3) sigma model and sineGordon theory we are able to find solutions corresponding to the periodic analogues of magnon scattering and breatherlike solutions. After semiclassically quantizing these solutions we invert the implicit expressions for the excitation energies in certain limits and find the corrections for the multimagnon states. For the breatherlike solutions we express the energies directly in terms of the action variable whereas for the scattering solution we express the result as a combination of corrections

It was recently noted that the dispersion relation for the magnons of planar N = 4 SYM can be identified with the Casimir of a certain deformation of the Poincaré algebra, in which the energy and momentum operators are supplemented by a boost generator J. By considering the relationship between J and su(22) ⋉ R 2, we derive a qdeformed superPoincaré symmetry algebra of the kinematics. Using this, we show that the dynamic magnon representations may be obtained by boosting from a fixed restframe representation. We comment on aspects of the coalgebra structure and some implications for the question of boostcovariance of the Smatrix. 1 1

It is known that large class of classical string solutions in the type IIB AdS5 × S 5 background is related to the Neumann and NeumannRosochatius integrable systems, including spiky strings and giant magnons. It is also interesting if these integrable systems can be associated with some membrane configurations in Mtheory. We show here that this is indeed the case by presenting explicitly several types of membrane embedding in AdS4 × S 7 with the searched properties.
