Metamodeling, which is extensively used in information system analysis & design, provides modelers with two complementary mechanisms for abstraction: abstraction by projection and abstraction by conceptualization. Metamodeling architectures are becoming a backbone of modeling environments in which modeling is carried out through a two-stage process: first, defining a convenient metamodel for the application domain, and second, describing the model of the application as an instantiation of the application-domain metamodel. We propose to use metamodeling —and its abstraction mechanisms — for modeling of web-enabled information systems and achieving their interoperability. Abstraction by projection allows us to describe user-specific features of web-enableb information systems and their security aspects more accurately. Abstraction by conceptualization allows us to define abstract bases of agreement for interoperability of web-based information systems.

This paper introduces a new method in the area of platform independent modeling and the development of graphical user interfaces. The method bridges the gap between traditional MB-UIDEs and the modern web methodologies by enabling the modeling and development of both traditional and web user interfaces. The method is based on a proposed Presentation model and a Task Action Model which drive the development process. The modeling notation in both models is done with use of UML, and the development process is supported by a UML-compliant adaptive modeling tool. Descriptions of both the model and the method of application are included. An evaluation done using a JavaEE and a Swing widget toolkit is also mentioned. 1

Abstract—In recent years, web applications have evolved from small websites into large multi-tiered applications. The quality of web applications depends on the richness of contents, well structured navigation and most importantly its security. Web application testing is a new field of research so as to ensure the consistency and quality of web applications. In the last ten years there have been different approaches. Models have been developed for testing web applications but only a few focused on content testing, a few on navigation testing and a very few on security testing of web applications. There is a need to test content, navigation and security of an application in one go. The objective of this paper is to propose Dual Security Testing Model to test the security of web applications using UML modeling technique which includes web socket interface. In this research paper we have described how our security testing model is implemented using activity diagram, activity graph and based on this how test cases are generated. Keywords—Web application testing; Security testing; UML modeling; Web socket programming
