We produce the open strings on R × S2 that correspond to the solutions of integrable boundary sineGordon theory by making use of the Nmagnon solutions provided in [11] together with explicit moduli. Relating the two boundary parameters in a special way we describe the scattering of giant magnons with nonmaximal Y = 0 giant gravitons and calculate the leading contribution to the associated magnon scattering phase. 1

A new example of AdS/CFT duality relating IIA string theory on AdS4 × CP3 to N = 6 superconformal ChernSimons theory has recently been provided by ABJM. By now a number of papers have considered particular giant magnon classical string solutions in the CP3 background, corresponding to excitations in the spin chain picture of the dual field theory. In this paper we apply the CP3 = SU(4)/S(U(3) × U(1)) dressing method to the problem of constructing general classical string solutions describing various configurations of giant magnons. As a particular application we present a new giant magnon solution on CP3. Interestingly the dressed solution carries only a single SO(6) charge, in contrast

We present a new, twoparameter family of string solutions corresponding to the holographic duals of specific 1/8BPS Wilson loops on S2 in N = 4 supersymmetric YangMills theory. The solutions are obtained using the dressing method on the known longitude solution in the context of the auxiliary σmodel on S3 put forth in arXiv:0905.0665[hepth]. We verify that the regularized area of the worldsheets are consistent with expectations. ar X iv
