TEM-analyses of the MPs revealed particle diameters of 36 ± 2 nm. The concentrations of MPs in HEPES buffer (10 mM HEPES, 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.3, containing 0.04 % NaN3) were calculated using TEM-, AAS- and UV/Visspectroscopy-measurements. Uninhibited ethylene glycol hasbeen a popular heat transferfluid choice in chillers formany years because of its ini-tial low cost and excellent freeze and heat protection over a wide temperature range. It also has good heat transfer capabilities and low conductivity, not to mention that it is completely miscible with water — an inexpensive and abundant solvent. Those are the pros. There are, however, disadvantages inherent to uninhibited eth-ylene glycol, including: It is relatively easy to degrade. It promotes corrosion after it degrades. It is difficult to monitor. It absorbs water from the atmosphere. These disadvantages can lead to frequent fluid changing, which can cost users money in labor and parts. There also can be lost production costs due to shutdown and pos-sible premature failure of the system.

INFLUENCE OF Re ON THE THERMO-ELECTRON EMISSION FROM THORIATED W CATHODE DURING Re DEPOSITION BY THERMIONIC VACUUM ARC (TVA) METHOD
, 2005

Thermal And Thermo-Mechanical Modelling of Polymer Overmoulded Electronics
"... This paper reports on the results from a research project investigating a novel technology for the manufacture of recyclable polymeric modules with embedded electronic controls and power distribution. The aim of this project is to develop a technology that fully encapsulates electronics for use in t ..."

Fast Thermo-reflectance Bolometry
"... We present a new approach to bolometry based on the measurement of the optical reflectivity change of a thin metal layer deposited on a transparent substrate. The reflectivity change of the metal layer results from the temperature rise due to absorption of energetic particles or X-rays. With this sp ..."
