sity and distribution of stacking faults, dislocations, and large oxygen precipitates. This nondestructive method may also be used for identification of crystal defects. LSM is capable of finding small oxygen precipitates, which are smaller than the resolution of the topographs. The defect densities given by LSM are larger than those given by sec-tion topography. It was determined through comparative observations by means of TEM that the volume of the smallest identifiable particle in LSM was about 1 x 105 nm 3 in the case of oxygen precipitates in silicon crystals. That is clearly less than the resolution of the synchrotron sec-tion topographic technique used. Images of such small de-fects are not observed in topographs; if there are no larger defects in the sample, only Pendellbsung fringes typical of a perfect crystal are observed.

These results suggest that capillary elec-trophoresis may be useful for developing a reference or routine method for creatinine

at levels of fourth ventricle (A), mid-brain (B) , and third ventricle (e) show widening of supracerebellar cistern (long arrows) and prominent cerebellar folia cisterns (short arrows), Fourth ventricle is normal. curred in a pattern previously reported as consistent with PCD [4]. An intensive search for malignancy was carried out, but the findings on chest film, mammograms, thyroid scan, and chest and abdominal CT scans were all within normal limits. The results of a pelvic examination suggested a uterine leiomyoma but no abnormalities of the ovarian structures. These findings were confirmed by pelvic CT scan. The patient's condition continued to deteriorate, and selective laparoscopy and laparotomy were performed 2 months after her first

Scale-Space Theory in Computer Vision

by Tony Lindeberg , 1994
"... A basic problem when deriving information from measured data, such as images, originates from the fact that objects in the world, and hence image structures, exist as meaningful entities only over certain ranges of scale.
