ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
"... First, I would like to thank my advisors Prof. Gal A. Kaminka and Dr. David Sarne for their excellent guidance and constant support in the past two years. I learned quite a bit about scientific research, all thanks to their great instruction. Working with them was a real pleasure, not only on the pr ..."

The central question in entrepreneurial cognition research 2007. Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice,
, 2007
"... In this article, we take note of advances in the entrepreneurial cognition research stream. In doing so, we bring increasing attention to the usefulness of entrepreneurial cognition research. First, we offer and develop a central research question to further enable entrepreneurial cognition inquiry ..."

Baron (2006b) recently presented a paper at the Academy of Management meetings on entrepreneurial affect. Also, McMullen and Shepherd's (2006) recent article

SPECjms2007 is based on a novel application in the supply chain management domain designed to stress MOM infrastructures in a manner
Working Paper No. 2 Cost of Capital Effects and Changes in Growth Expectations around U.S. Cross-Listings
, 2006
"... This paper examines whether cross-listing in the U.S. reduces foreign firms ’ cost of capital. While prior studies document that U.S. cross-listings are associated with substantial increases in firm value, the sources of these valuation effects are not well understood. We estimate the cost of capita ..."

Abstract. We review theoretical models of individual motility as well as collective dynamics and pattern formation of active particles. We focus on simple models of active dynamics with a particular emphasis on nonlinear and stochastic dynamics of such self-propelled entities in the framework of statistical mechanics. Examples of such active units in complex physico-chemical and biological systems are chemically pow-ered nano-rods, localized patterns in reaction-diffusion system, motile cells or macroscopic animals. Based on the description of individual motion of point-like active particles by stochastic differential equations, we discuss different velocity-dependent friction functions, the impact of various types of fluctuations and calculate characteristic observ-ables such as stationary velocity distributions or diffusion coefficients. Finally, we consider not only the free and confined individual active dynamics but also different types of interaction between active par-ticles. The resulting collective dynamical behavior of large assemblies and aggregates of active units is discussed and an overview over some recent results on spatiotemporal pattern formation in such systems is given. 1
