Characterization of Kovar-Pyrex anodically bonded samples- a new packaging approach for MEMS devices

by unknown authors
"... The ability to anodically bond Kovar to Pyrex 7740 significantly expands the packaging approaches available for MEMS devices. This technique greatly simplifies and reliably interconnects micropropulsion MEMS components (thrusters, valves) with the attached propellant system. Experimental bonds of K ..."

. The SiNx films have been charged by using a biased atomic force microscope (AFM) tip or by electrically stressing MIM capacitors and MEMS switches. The influence of several parameters on the dielectric charging has been studied: dielectric film thickness, deposition conditions, and under layers. Fourier

This thesis presents CraneTracker, a multi-modal sensing and communication system for monitoring migratory species at the continental level. By exploiting the robust and extensive cellular infrastructure across the continent, traditional mobile wireless sensor networks can be extended to enable reliable, low-cost monitoring of migratory species. The developed multi-tier architecture yields ecologists with unconventional behavior in-formation not furnished by alternative tracking systems at such a large scale and for a low-cost. The simulation, development and implementation of the CraneTracker soft-ware system is presented. The system is shown effective through multiple proxy deploy-

the inhomogeneities and characterize it in more detail. In addition, micro-XRF in 2 and 3 dimensions is a valuable tool to characterize the leached transition metals, which are partially deposited on the graphitic anode and thereby further reducing the capacity of the battery. In this presentation, we will show that

Paper FEDSM2005-77084 COMPARISON OF COMPUTATIONAL RESULTS OBTAINED FROM A VOF CAVITATION MODEL WITH EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS OF THREE INDUCERS. PART I : Experimental Investigations FEDSM2005-77084

by Imene Mejri , Farid Bakir , Robert Rey , Thabet Belamri
"... Abstract The paper presents full 3D numerical simulations and experimental investigations of the cavitating flow through three axial inducers. These inducers are identified by the blades leading edge angle at the periphery β 1T =8°, 10°, 13° and are thus noted as Inducer 8°, Inducer 10° and Inducer ..."

on The examination of these values shows a general superiority for Inducer 8° concerning the behavior with cavitation. The behavior in cavitating regime is characterized by the cavitation parameters σ C corresponding to head drops of 5% and 15%. Those values of σ C,5% and σ C,15% are determined by the character
