Abstract: In order to formulate the compounded polypropylene(C-PP) which is suitable to an automotive door trim panel, 9 sorts of properties were measured after manufacturing the C-PP using an extruder and an injection machine with polypropylene(PP), ethylene-octene rubber(EOR) and talc. Mixture design, especially extreme vertices design, in DOE with MINITAB- commercial software was used to analyze the data. The relations between each property and each component, for example, y=0.00907222x1+0.00870556x2+0.0155722x3 for specific gravity, were found out by the regression analysis and the variance analysis. The optimized formulation of the C-PP for an automotive door trim panel was acquired at PP(77.6962), EOR(11.0238) and talc(10.2800) by use of the response optimizer(mixture) in MINITAB.

Abstract. In this paper, we describe our retrieval system used for the primary task of genomics track at this year. Our primary goal in this task is to find a proper method for the domain-specific retrieval environment. To achieve the goal, we have tested several techniques such as a phrase indexing strategy, two query weighting methods, and two post-processing methods such as a document filtering method and a documents reranking method. According to the experimental results, query weighting methods and document filtering methods can improve the performance of the retrieval system, but there still remain a room for improvement. 1

AlGaN/GaN metalinsulatorsemiconductor heterostructure field effect transistors (MIS-HFETs) with recessed-gate geometry have been proposed to implement normally-off operation for power electronics applications. With this structure, two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) density under the gate region was effectively depleted, thus controlling threshold voltage while maintaining low on-resistance and high current density. We found a strong correlation between recess depth and threshold voltage: the deeper recess etching provided the higher threshold voltage without any significant decrease in other device parameters such as drain current (90 and 76 mA/mm for 25 and 35 nm recess depths, respectively), subthreshold slope (0.36 and 0.42 V decade1), onoff ratio (106) and field effect mobility (66.7 and 58.3 cm2 V1 s1). We have also examined the electrical properties of the HFETs by employing multiple passivation layers. The drain current and breakdown voltage after multiple passivation layers (Al2O3 þ SiOx) were improved by approximately 34 % (from 135 to 180 mA/mm) and 40 % (from 335 to 470 V) compared to that after a single passivation layer (Al2O3 only), which is ascribed to the surface charge controlled effect.
