In order to examine the coverage in relation to possible need, numbers of applications were considered as a proportion of individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Table4 shows DfES figures for total pupils, and pupils with SEN, within each LEA region in England (as at January 2003), as well as the number of CAP applications within each region. The number of CAP applications is also reported as a percentage of the SEN population in each region.... ..."

Table 1: SPEChpc96 benchmarks and candidate codes At the Supercomputing apos;95 conference in San Diego, California, the rst release of SPEChpc96 was announced publicly. Together with the benchmark codes, a rst set of performance numbers supplied by several participating vendors was presented. Benchmarks within the SPEChpc96 suite represent speci c application areas. The rst two benchmarks are SPECseis96, a seismic processing application, and SPECchem96, a computational chemistry application. Table 1 lists the codes of the SPEChpc96 suite together with candidate applications that are currently being considered for inclusion in the near future.SPECseis96 is based on a benchmark suite originally developed at Atlantic Rich eld Corp. (ARCO)[10]. It is an industrial application representative of modern seismic processing programs used 4
"... In PAGE 5: ... In addition to the two adopted SPEChpc96 codes, there are several codes that are being considered for inclusion in the suite in the near future. Table1 lists three of these codes and the corresponding application areas. These codes are currently being studied for their suitability as high-performance computer benchmarks.... ..."
Table 1: Summary statistics S amp;P-500 returns during the low volatility period January 1, 1992{August 27, 1997, and the high volatility period July 9, 1999{November 27, 2003.

"... In PAGE 10: ... We focus on the S amp;P-500 index in two periods: a low volatility period from January 1, 1992, until August 27, 1997, and a high volatility period from July 9, 1999, until November 27, 2003. To assess the efiects of market closure in an intuitive and informal way, Table1 shows the sample statistics of the close to close, open to close, and close to open returns series for the respective sample periods. From the standard deviations in Table 1 it is clear that the overnight return is an important part of the total daily return in both the flrst and the second period.... In PAGE 10: ... To assess the efiects of market closure in an intuitive and informal way, Table 1 shows the sample statistics of the close to close, open to close, and close to open returns series for the respective sample periods. From the standard deviations in Table1 it is clear that the overnight return is an important part of the total daily return in both the flrst and the second period. As the sample standard deviation of the overnight returns is lower than the standard deviation of the intraday returns, one may conclude that information important for S amp;P stocks generally arrives during trading hours.... In PAGE 11: ... This exceptional category is probably less frequently traded. From the return data in Table1 , it is clear that the 1992{1997 sample period can be characterized as a low volatility period and the 1999{2003 sample as a high volatility period. This characterization of both periods also becomes clear from the implied volatilities in Table 2, since they are consistently on a higher level across strike prices and maturities in the 1999{2003 sample period.... In PAGE 17: ... Unlike a model with Poissonian jumps, overnight jumps at flxed times lead to a normal jump distribution without skewness. Note that the (objective) skewness and kurtosis estimates in Table1 give (albeit indirect) evidence of a non- normal jump distribution. Moreover, as already observed in the SVRJ-model, the attributed proportion of the total variance due to jumps is approximately one third.... ..."
