Load Balancing a Cluster of Web Servers - Using Distributed Packet Rewriting
- Proceedings of the 2000 IEEE International Performance, Computing, and Communications Conference

Two sides of probe method and obstacle with impedance boundary condition

"... Abstract An inverse boundary value problem for the Helmholtz equation in a bounded domain is considered. The problem is to extract information about an unknown obstacle embedded in the domain with unknown impedance boundary condition (the Robin condition) from the associated Dirichlet-to-Neumann ma ..."

An Automated Procedure for Blood Phenylalanine
"... The fluorometric analysis of phenylalanine described by McCaman and Robins has been adapted to automation. The procedure may be used on 20-,J. whole-blood samples which may be stored on filter paper for elution. The procedure is rapid, reproducible, and accurate, making it useful for screening large ..."

ABSTRACT: The Real-Time scheduling characteristics most nearly concerned with uncertainty; the execution or burst time of tasks and the umbrella category of real time constraints under which dead line, ready time, and task period fall. This study examines the relation between excess auditor remuneration and the implied required rate of return (IRR hereafter) on equity capital in global markets. We conjecture that when auditor remuneration is excessively large, investors may perceive the auditor to be economically bonded to the client, leading to a lack of independence. This perceived lack of independence increases the information risk associated with the credibility of financial statements, thereby increasing IRR. Consistent with this notion, we find that IRR is increasing in excess auditor *Rotman School of Management
