Educação INNOVATIVE USE OF A TABLET DEVICE TO DELIVER INSTRUCTION IN UNDERGRADUATE CHEMISTRY LECTURES

by Gonzalo A Jaña , Wilson Cardona , Verónica A Jiménez , 2015
"... Recebido em 10/11/2014; aceito em 16/01/2015; publicado na web em 23/03/2015 This report describes a simple, inexpensive and highly effective instructional model based on the use of a tablet device to enable the real-time projection of the instructor's digitally handwritten annotations to t ..."

to teach chemistry in undergraduate courses. The projection of digital handwriting allows the instructor to build, present and adapt the class contents in a dynamic fashion and to save anything that is annotated or displayed on the screen for subsequent sharing with students after each session. "... Abstract: YY2 was originally identified due to its unusual similarity to the evolutionarily well conserved, zincfinger gene YY1. In this study, we have determined the evolutionary origin and conservation of YY2 using comparative genomic approaches. Our results indicate that YY2 is a retroposed copy ..."

This thesis presents CraneTracker, a multi-modal sensing and communication system for monitoring migratory species at the continental level. By exploiting the robust and extensive cellular infrastructure across the continent, traditional mobile wireless sensor networks can be extended to enable reliable, low-cost monitoring of migratory species. The developed multi-tier architecture yields ecologists with unconventional behavior in-formation not furnished by alternative tracking systems at such a large scale and for a low-cost. The simulation, development and implementation of the CraneTracker soft-ware system is presented. The system is shown effective through multiple proxy deploy-

GReAT Model: A Model for the Automatic Generation of Semantic Relations between Text Summaries based on the Relevant Information to the User

by Claudia Gomez , P , Alexandra Pomares , Q
"... Abstract. The large available amount of non-structured texts that be-long to different domains such as healthcare (e.g. medical records), justice (e.g. laws, declarations), insurance (e.g. declarations), etc. increases the effort required for the analysis of information in a decision making pro-ces ..."

Partic-ularly, text summary strategies have proven to be very useful to provide a compact view of an original text. However, the available strategies to generate
