ABSTRACT The article describes the impact of the addition of straw pulp as a partial replacement of softwood pulp in the preparation of insulating fiberboard (IFB) on its properties. Part I. discusses about the preparation of straw pulp from wheat straw and the characterization of the fractional composition of the fiber, determining the amount of water held by fiber, dewatering rate and determining of grade of defibrillation. Insulation straw boards were prepared from the fibre exactly characterized. Strength properties -tensile strength and flexural strength perpendicular to the face (internal bond strength) and physical properties -swelling and water absorption were tested on boards prepared.
Implementing data cubes efficiently
- In SIGMOD
, 1996
"... Decision support applications involve complex queries on very large databases. Since response times should be small, query optimization is critical. Users typically view the data as multidimensional data cubes. Each cell of the data cube is a view consisting of an aggregation of interest, like total ..."

total sales. The values of many of these cells are dependent on the values of other cells in the data cube..A common and powerful query optimization technique is to materialize some or all of these cells rather than compute them from raw data each time. Commercial systems differ mainly in their approach

Self-Bonding Characterization of Non-Wood Lignocellulosic Materials
"... Adhesive is generally accepted to be the most expensive raw material for making wood composite. Rising prices of petroleum and great uncertainties of its future supply, however, caused the forest product industry to focus on the necessity of self-sufficiency and the development of adhesives from nat ..."

natural or renewable raw material. A process, which converted the lignocellulosic materials into panel boards without using of synthetic resin binders, has been developed and patented by Shen in the mid eighties [1]. Studies on manufacturing process of binderless board have been conducted for years
Rapid Dissolution of Lignocellulosic Plant Materials in an Ionic Liquid
"... Concerns regarding the non-renewable nature of, and pollution from, petroleum derived energy and commercial products has led to the concept of a biomass economy. As part of this vision for a society based on sustainable biomaterials, proposed biorefineries need to tackle the challenges of taking a w ..."

"... The main objectives, feedstock, processes and spectra of products (commodities, specialties, fine chemicals, including pharmaceuticals as by-products of lignin) manufactured by the Soviet and Russian hydrolysis industry for over 75 years are briefly overviewed. The history of the Soviet/Russian hydrolysis industry clearly shows that, without state subsidies, the production of commodities, such as ethanol or fodder yeast, from lignocellulosic raw materials, can survive only if it also involves
