Located in Buenos Aires, “La Salada ” fair has been characterized by the European Commission as, “The biggest illegal market in the world”. La Salada profits with around $125 million each year by counterfeiting multibillionaire luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton. A comparison between Louis Vuitton’s supply chain with La Salada’s supply chain will demonstrate how a quality production process has been sacrificed for a quantity production process. This analysis will further illustrate how the violation of human rights has fueled La Salada with enormous profits, and how Louis Vuitton has confronted the counterfeit market.
