Abstract
Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to examine the underlying components within distributed database architecture. Understanding the task of a distributed database management system will lead to a successful design, which will provide scalability and accessibility. When developing a distributed database system there is a need to address the importance of security issues that may arise and possibly compromise the integrity of the system. We further propose solutions for some of the security concerns that pertain to a distributed database system. 2 1.
