Abstract
based graphical user interface (GUI) has been implemented for Aqua-Lab [3]. Aqua-Lab is an underwater network testbed and is designed to provide researchers field test experiences in a lab controlled environment. The GUI is developed to better utilize this testbed and provide user-friendly interface to the researchers in the community. In this workshop, we would like to demonstrate: • setting up test topology from ordinary web browser with the help of Google Map [2]; • operating underwater networking experiments remotely; • showcasing Vector-Based Forwarding (VBF) [4], a geo-routing protocol for underwater networks; • visualizing experiment results using NAM, the network animator of NS2. While Aqua-Lab is physically located in the UWSN Lab at UConn, people could conduct their experiments anywhere through the Internet. Furthermore, since Aqua-Lab contains real acoustic communication channels, it provides an environment closer to reality than that by simulators.
