Abstract

This report is an ongoing compendium of my writing and formatting rules that I got tired of repeating over and over again (often to the same students!). Now that it's written in plain English, there's no longer any excuse for not following these rules to the letter. In the following sections I list some useful tips and observations (read "rules" if you're one of my students) for technical writing with T E X and L A T E X. I hope they're of help. My plan is to update this report on a regular basis. I've included just a few rules so far; no doubt more will be coming.
