Abstract
In this paper we present essential primitives for abstraction of relationships among composed objects and their components. We start out from modality and then present whether an object, by nature, occurs only in some specific construct or whether it is an independent one. These approaches are well-known in many areas of computer science, but the integrated and exact systematic presentation of these is generally lacking, especially in modeling approaches for component based systems. We represent a `design by example' method for modeling and designing an abstraction from single component structures of objects. This approach enables us to modify the object type structure during the designing process. Primitives of modeling methods are generally defined only on graphical level, but more accurate presentation is needed because the result of this modeling analysis gives input for detailed design and implementation.
