Abstract
Efficient simulation of packet-switched flit-level systems is studied. Recognizing that the sample-path is typically piecewise deterministic, an efficient simulation approach is proposed. Experiments show that simulation efficiency depends on the particular configuration but is in general better compared to traditional methods. The work is based on a Generalized Semi-Markow Process view to maintain structure and clarity.
