Abstract
This paper introduces ZOIL (Zoomable Object-Oriented Information Landscape), a design paradigm and software framework for post-WIMP distributed, zoomable and object-oriented user interfaces. We present ZOIL’s design principles, functionality and software patterns to share them with other researchers.
