Abstract
. In this paper we present a survey of work relating to the Concurrent METATEM programming language. In addition to a description of the basic Concurrent METATEM system, which incorporates the direct execution of temporal formulae, a variety of extensions that have either been implemented or proposed are outlined. Although still in the development stage, there appear to be many areas where such a language could be applied. We present a variety of sample applications, highlighting the particular features of Concurrent METATEM that we believe will make it appropriate for use in these areas. 1 Introduction Concurrent METATEM is a language based upon the direct execution of temporal formulae [15].
