Abstract
Within the field of packing problems the placement of 3D objects is of great importance. In order to develop efficient solution approaches, the interaction of two placed objects has to be modelled in a suitable manner. In this paper we follow the concept of Φ-functions, proposed in [8]. Φ-functions are presented for each suitable pair of so-called primary 3D objects from the collection of objects with spherical, parallelepipedal or cylindrical frontiers.
