Abstract

This document is prepared as a part of the Best and Most Promising Practices component of the National Evaluation of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) program, which is being conducted Wake Forest University School of Medicine. It is an evaluation report submitted to the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), U.S. Department of Justice. This report has not been published by OJJDP. Opinions or points of view expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the official position or policies of OJJDP. Preparation of this report was supported by Grant 98-AH-F8-0101 (S-2) from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Alcohol is the drug of choice among youth. There is no doubt that underage drinking is a major public health problem in the United States, particularly due to ambivalence toward drinking in general and especially toward underage drinking.
