Dancing is surely the most basic and relevant of all forms of expression. Nothing else can so effectively give outward form to an inner experience. Poetry and music exist in time. Painting and architecture are a part of space But only the dance lives at once in both space and time In it the creator and the thing created, the artist and the expression, are one. Each participant is completely in the other. There could be no better metaphor for an understanding of the...cosmos. We begin to realize that our universe is in a sense brought into being by the participation of those involved in it. It is a dance, for participation is its organizing principle. This is the important new concept of quantum mechanics. It takes the place in our understanding of the old notion of observation, of watching without getting involved. Quantum theory says it can’t be done. That

E-business systems, the latest generation of information systems, are used by people from different countries and with different backgrounds. Cultural consideration of software products has been limited to interfaces through internationalization architectures and localization practices. There has been little discussion about the cultural values and practices that are embedded in the core of software e-business systems. These artefacts may lead to modification of cultures and cause their uniformity. To avoid it cultural artefacts need to be considered in both the interface and the core. Two complementary methods are proposed: one is based on the extension of software localization beyond the interface; the other utilizes emerging software design paradigms based on the meta-object orientation. 1. E-BUSINESS SYSTEMS AND CULTURE E-business systems are the latest generation of information systems that extend beyond the enterprise allowing for communication among organizations and between companies and consumers. The enterprise may be a business or any other organization that is involved in activities such as procuring products and services, exchanging information, and brokering. An e-business system (EBS) differs from other information systems in several key aspects. It is network-centric and relies on ever-present Internet connectivity. Business-to-business EBSs provide tight

this paper is to build a mathematical model of ethnos development, to create the proper program in TURBO PASCAL language, and to make the computer experiments. We based on ideas of well-known historian L. N. Gumilev [1,2]. The notion of passionarity is fundamental here. Let's consider an ethnos as a system of seven subsystems: passionarians (the vivid persons, who are able to inspire people with enthusiasm), subpassionarians (the persons providing destructive activity, antisocial elements), harmonic people (the mass of people), organization (or, less precise, State), science and technology, culture and art, and landscape. We'll study the development of m ethnic systems E i (i = 1; :::; m), and we'll take that theirs subsystems are of numerical passionarity level. We denote them by P i ; S i ; M i ; O i ; T i ; C i ; L i respectively. The dynamics of history of the interacting ethnoses is described by a system of differencial equations. These equations determine the change rate of the passionarity level for every of the subsystems. The time t (years) is within [0; 1200]. The number 1200 is the time of existence of culture-historic type that is connected with the ethnos [3,5]. The history of the ethnos begins at a certain moment t = 0 with initial passionarity levels

An emerging area of digital data processing is the computer-based intelligent analysis and synthesis of information flows/streams. These include in particular processing of audio, hypertext, image, text, video, mixed, etc. data that travel over the Internet. The final goal of most current research efforts is to build the Semantic Web in the sense defined by the World Wide Web inventor Tim Berners-Lee. One of the main problems for success of this project is how to automatically extract (and then interpret) semantic components from unordered data flows/streams. This problem was already stated by Gestalt school in early 1920s in case of the human visual perception. Note that an efficient human-machine interaction is the stumbling block of modern computer technologies. In this chapter, we are going to discuss the foundations of semantic associative data analysis and synthesis to approach the solution of these fundamental problems, whose solutions are indispensable for the Semantic Web development. Data semantic associative analysis and synthesis consists of two main components – semantic-mind data analysis and object-oriented data integration (synthesis). They will be described in this chapter. Think about meaning… The words are becoming themselves. (Carroll, L.)

Monarchy is a form of government not well understood in North America. To many people in that part of the world, monarchy seems to be a totally obsolete, even childish, institution. The surviving monarchies, after all, might still play a symbolic or even a psychological role, but not a decisive political role. As a rationalist and a liberal (in the worldwide sense rather than in the American sense), I am also a monarchist who realizes that monarchy, combined with Christianity and Antiquity, was responsible for the rise and flowering of Western civilization, which is slowly assuming an almost global character. Yet, the modern mind is political rather than historical, and therefore is hopelessly tied to the spirit of his time. As Goethe wrote: He who cannot give account Of the last three thousand years Rests in darkness inexperienced

This chapter presents the case for strong leadership to develop an internationally distributed virtual workforce. It is a speculative approach to how work and workers may behave in a future where most of their work and interactions will be virtual and disconnected from their physical location. The lessons that can be learned from the natural world are explored especially from complexity theories. Examples are provided of natural systems in action and the insights others have drawn from these theories and how this may inform decision-making, risk-taking and the management of virtual workers. The impact of the Internet on knowledge creation and discovery is explored. These theories and trends have important implications for leaders and managers and for stimulating creativity and innovation. One can speculate that in future digital workers will live in two realities; the
