Abstract. Given the absence of simple tools for modeling Planning and Scheduling problems, as well as the inability of Business Process Management for the anticipated planning of processes, this paper presents a transformation from XPDL process model diagrams into a hierarchical extension of the PDDL planning language, using the concept of workflow patterns as base of the translation process. The proposed architecture is evaluated within a specific teamwork project management scenario: the allocation of human resources and web services for the development of online courses in an e-learning center. 1
