Abstract—With the proliferation of mobile computing technology, mobile learning (m-learning) will play a vital role in the rapidly growing electronic learning market. However, the acceptance of m-learning by individuals is critical to the successful implementation of m-learning systems. Thus, there is a need to research the factors that affect users ’ intention to use m-learning. Based on an updated information system (IS) success model, data collected from 350 respondents in Taiwan were tested against the research model using the structural equation modeling approach. The data collected by questionnaire were analyzed to check the validity of constructs. Then hypotheses describing the relationships between the identified constructs and users ’ satisfaction were formulated and tested. Keywords—m-learning, information system success, users’ satisfaction, perceived value.

Knowledge has been broadly recognized as the key element for gaining competitive advantage. Companies are investing more on knowledge management systems. However, no models are customized to evaluate the success of knowledge management systems. To address this issue, this study seeks to develop and test two models for the assessment of the success of a particular type of KMS: project repositories. These two models are based on DeLone and McLean’s model of Information Systems Success and Seddon’s respecified model. Their models are updated for project repositories through the addition of three relationships.

This study investigates the selection of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and the success of their acquisition process in wholesale companies. The objective of the theoretical part of this study is to examine ERP software acquisition from packaged software acquisition point of view and to construct a framework for analyzing ERP software acquisitions. The objective of the empirical part of this study, then, is to investigate the criteria and process used in the ERP software selection and the success of the ERP software acquisition process in wholesale companies. In the theoretical part of this study, a framework for analyzing ERP software acquisitions is proposed on the basis of a pilot study and review of prior research. This framework is operationalized into a research questionnaire that is used in a survey among Finnish wholesale companies reported in the empirical part of the study. The survey was conducted in cooperation with two Finnish trade unions, The Association of Finnish Technical Traders (Teknisen Kaupan Liitto) and The Association of Suppliers of Electronic Instruments and Components (Elektroniikan Komponentti- ja Mittalaitetoimittajat). This study reports the preliminary results of the survey.

The paper examines the applicability and sufficiency of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the context of social software and newer generation knowledge management systems (KMS). A reinterpretation of the two TAM constructs “Perceived Usefulness ” and “Perceived Ease of Use ” in light of expectancy-valence theory reveals that the TAM predominantly focuses on performance expectations on different behavioral levels and, thus, fails to account for the entire range of drivers and barriers related to KMS usage. 1

For e-commerce websites to be successful in a highly competitive environment, the designers and managers should know what usability attributes can affect the probability of customers’ making purchases. This paper proposes a website usability study to measure attributes and the users ’ intention of planned purchases. This study provides a designer’s perspective of the online customer which can be a significant step towards understanding customer online decision-making and their intention of planned purchases. The study is validated on two existing e-commerce service websites. Current HCI studies, psychological and Information Systems theories are used to identify key usability attributes that can influence customers’

Given the rapid growth and large investments in mobile data services (MDS), it has become important to examine how to enhance satisfaction with MDS (M-satisfaction) and how to build loyalty toward MDS (M-loyalty). This paper develops an integrated model to deeply understand the antecedents of M-loyalty through constructs prescribed by two established research streams on information system (IS) success, namely user satisfaction and information technology (IT) motivation. The research model was tested by using survey data collected from 747 users who have experience with MDS. Analysis results show that the proposed model provides a significant explanation of the variance of M-loyalty, indicating that the unified perspective it provides helps enhance our knowledge of how to build M-loyalty. This study should help MDS researchers and practitioners better understand user behavior in MDS.

Information systems projects play an important strategic role in organisations and are key drivers to the delivery of change. Given this prominence it is essential to find measurement methods that effectively analyse and communicate the performance to its stakeholders. Further, to assure contribution to both research and practice it is essential to verify the utility of the artefacts (i.e. methods) developed to help validate or justify that the solutions are suitable for practice, and fit the needs and contexts for which it is created. Grounded in the design science paradigm, this paper reports an exploratory evaluation of the perception of certain qualities of two recently developed measurement methods (The Project Performance Scorecard and Project Objectives Measurement Model) against the traditional Triple Constraint method. An analytic scenario-based survey of fifty-one (51) participants, comprising of three (3) sets of independent sample of seventeen (17) respondents each was used. The study analysed dimensions of task performance, ease of use, perceived usefulness, perceived semantic qualities and user satisfaction from the perspective of the participants. The preliminary study revealed encouraging results for the new methods and the general design process which can help guide current use and further refinements. The limitations of the study and future research directions are discussed.

Business process management technology is used at many sites as an instrument to improve the efficiency and agility of business operations. Currently, only a fragmented insight exists into the determinants for successful usage of this technology. The study in this paper is a first approach to more systematically investigate this issue, in particular by taking the end-user perspective into account. The study draws from quantitative data on two different implementations of business process management technology, as generated by the involvement of 342 end users. A major finding is that the proposed research model, inspired by the DeLone and McLean IS success model, has a very high power to explain the successfulness of the investigated implementations. It is found in particular that input and output quality and the quality of the IT support during operations are key factors that are more important than the characteristics of the actual system, which has important ramifications for IT praxis and research.

System Usage has been employed as a key variable in Information System (IS) success research over the past three decades. Despite the obvious popularity of employing Usage as a measure of IS success, a recent study by Burton-Jones and Straub (2006) allude to the weaknesses in Usage in IS research. The key weaknesses they identified include; lack of theoretical grounding, no widely accepted definition, and the use of unsystematized measures. In an attempt to address the aforementioned weaknesses in prior studies, this study reconceptualizes Usage employing four interrelated dimensions. The Adaptive Structuration Theory provides the much required theoretical grounding for distilling rich and comprehensive Usage measures for contemporary IS.

Calls for a renewed focus on creativity and innovation have come from a wide variety of sources. In the Information Systems field, research that has been directed at this area has focused mainly on creativity in system designers and creative performance by the users of idea-generation tools, with little attention to post-adoption notions of creative use, that is, the discovery of new features or new methods of using the features of a system in order to perform a task. Relatively little work has been done on creativity exercised by end users while interacting with information systems after adoption. Yet, this area of creative potential could prospectively generate value for owners of information systems in many quarters. This research therefore seeks to explore creative use. Drawing on the extant literature on system use and creativity, we seek to understand how creative use occurs, what factors influence it, and what its effects are. We anticipate that this research will enhance understanding of how end users discover innovative
