Inspired by an unambiguous observation of Gribov copies on the lattice an old continuum example due to Henyey is reanalysed in terms of bifurcations at the Gribov horizon. This gives yet another proof that there are in general Gribov copies within the horizon. Using results by SemenovTyanShanskii, Franke, Dell'Antonio and Zwanziger on a possible fundamental modular domain we argue that its boundary has both Gribov copies and points that coincide with the Gribov horizon.
