Not for commercial use or unauthorized distribution. less technologies saturate campuses, the distinction between traditional classrooms and computer classrooms grows more and more hazy. Acknowledging this porosity would have made an interesting addition to Mirtz’s and Cain’s treatment of movement. Nagelhout and Rutz’s collection does a very good job of demonstrating just how much the academic landscape has (and has not) shifted from the paradigm established by the recently discovered allpurpose classrooms of fifth-century Egypt. Whether we view wireless technologies as an opportunity, a disruption, or both, they seem poised to mount the next big challenge to comfortable notions of the writing classroom.
