We use a multidimensional extension of Bailey's transform to derive two very general qgenerating functions, which are qanalogues of a paper by Exton [7]. These expressions are then specialised to give more practical formulae, which are qanalogues of generating relations for Karlssons generalised Kampe de Feriet function. A number of examples are given including qLaguerre polynomials of two variables. 1. Preliminaries The purpose of this paper is to continue the study of qspecial functions by the method outlined in [3] and [4]. The paper is a qanalogue of Exton [7]. We begin with a few definitions.
