The Koala ORB is an experimental object request and event broker built as a basis for applications running on wireless mobile devices. Such devices differ from conventional computer systems in a number of fundamental ways, most notably in the area of power management. The Koala ORB attempts to provide middleware abstractions suitable for use across a wide range of networks and application domains.
