Abstract With the advent of the World Wide Web and the emergence of e-commerce applications and social networks, organizations across the Web generate a large amount of data day-by-day. The abundant unstructured or semi-structured information on the Web leads a great challenge for both the users, who are seeking for effectively valuable information and for the business people, who needs to provide personalized service to the individual consumers, buried in the billions of web pages. To overcome these problems, data mining techniques must be applied on the Web. In this article, an attempt has been made to review the various web mining techniques to discover fruitful patterns from the Web, in detail. New concepts are also included in broad-sense for Optimal Web Mining. This paper also discusses the state of the art and survey on Web Mining that is used in knowledge discovery over the Web.

Abstract: The semantic Web is a second generation of the current World Wide Web (WWW). Where information is given well-defined meaning, and also changing Web contents into machine understandable form, it would promote quality and intelligence of the Web. To facilitate this process, RDF (Resource Description Frameworks) and OWL (Web Ontology Language) have been developed as standard formats for the sharing and integration of data and knowledge the latter in the form of rich conceptual schemas called ontologies. Data Mining is the nontrivial process of identifying valid, previously unknown, potentially useful patterns in data. Semantic Web Mining refers to the application of data mining techniques to extract knowledge from WWW or the area of data mining that refers to the use of algorithms for extracting patterns from resources distributed over in the web. In this paper we propose a new method for mining sets of sequential patterns for classification, where patterns are represented as SPARQL queries over RDFS. From the various Data mining algorithms we have apply here sequential pattern mining algorithms in semantic web to fetch sequential pattern from the semantic web data efficiently.

The integration of the two fast-developing scientific research areas Semantic Web and Web Mining is known as Se-mantic Web Mining. The huge increase in the amount of Semantic Web data became a perfect target for many re-searchers to apply Data Mining techniques on it. This paper gives a detailed state-of-the-art survey of on-going research in this new area. It shows the positive effects of Semantic Web Mining, the obstacles faced by researchers and propose number of approaches to deal with the very complex and heterogeneous information and knowledge which are pro-duced by the technologies of Semantic Web.
