Table 3: Imported Object Model State Changes
"... In PAGE 24: ... In addition to exporting events, events can be propogated into the object model by receiving messages from an external source. The supported state changes are summarized in Table3 below. 4.... ..."
Table 1. Importance Rating of Production Management Objectives
"... In PAGE 5: ...1 The Objectives and Tasks in Production Management The respondents were asked the importance of various objectives in their jobs. The objectives in order of the average importance ratings are (the ratings are on a scale of 0- 4) given in Table1 . The table confirms earlier studies [20] showing the high importance placed by production managers on people skills.... ..."

At a more detailed level, Table7 shows correla- tions of the six significant objectives with each of the nineteen decision-support benefits. There is signifi- cant (p\0.... In PAGE 12: ... This unleashing of previously untapped talents is consistent with the other significantly correlated benefits: stimulating new approaches to dealing with problems, encourag- ing exploration/discovery and enhancing the ability to handle large-scale/complex problems. As shown in the last column of Table7 , giving greater importance to the objective of supporting joint decision making has a significant (p\0.05) positive correlation with five decision-support benefits.... ..."

Table 1 show the Configurator in action. In this experiment, Figure 10(c) shows the CPU load fluctuation, while Table 1 shows the control actions generated by the Configurator at various time instants, and executed by the application. Figure 10(d) shows the actually measured tracking precision. The first tracker tracks a more important object, so if a drop tracker event is signaled, later trackers should be dropped. We note that the tracking precision stays stable in a small range, which shows that the adaptation efforts are successful to lock the trackers on the objects, before they are dropped for more important trackers.
"... In PAGE 12: ...3.2 Scenario 2 Figure 10 and Table1 show the experimental results. Table1 : Control Actions produced by the Configurator (follow the time scale in Figure 10(c)) 5 Related Work It has been widely recognized that many QoS-constrained distributed applications need to be adaptive in heterogeneous environments. Recent research work on resource management mechanisms at the systems level expressed much interests in studying various kinds of adaptive capabilities.... ..."
