This paper is concerned with the problem of question recommendation in the setting of Community Question Answering (CQA). Given a question as query, our goal is to rank all of the retrieved questions according to their likelihood of being good recommendations for the query. In this paper, we propose a notion of public interest, and show how public interest can boost the performance of question recommendation. In particular, to model public interest in question recommendation, we build a language model to combine relevance score to the query and popularity score regarding question popularity. Experimental results on Yahoo!Answers dataset demonstrate the performance of question recommendation can be greatly improved with considering the public interest.

The application of a home made, triple hot-wire system in indoor air flow measure-ments is presented. Both the anemometer and sensor have been developed at Athens University with the aim to provide a reliable, research tool of reasonable cost, simple construction, and satisfactory performance. All three velocity components above a threshold of 10 cm s' ' can be measured. The system is also equipped with two thermometers for measuring the mean and fluctuating air temperature and for provid-ing a means of temperature compensation of the hot wires ' signal. After evaluation of the system in the laboratory, it was used in the measurement of the velocity profile of flows driven by the temperature difference between two internal zones. The implied accuracy of the method allows for its integration with measurements of air volume exchange rates between internal zones, as estimated by tracer gas techniques. 1

Ammonia (NH3) emissions from agriculture commonly account for 480 % of the total NH3 emissions. Accurate agricultural NH3 emission inventories are therefore required for reporting within the framework of the Gothenburg Protocol of the UN Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution. To allow a co-ordinated implementation of the Protocol, different national inventories should be comparable. A core group of emission inventory experts therefore developed a network and joint programme to achieve a detailed overview of the best inventory techniques currently available and compiled and harmonized the available knowledge on emission factors (EFs) for nitrogen (N)-flow emission calculation models and initiated a new generation of emission inventories. As a first step in summarizing the available knowledge, six N-flow models, used to calculate national NH3 emissions from agriculture in different European countries, were compared using standard datasets. Two scenarios for slurry-based systems were run separately for dairy cattle and for pigs, with three different levels of model standardisation: (a) standardised inputs to all models (FF scenario); (b) standard N excretion, but national values for EFs (FN scenario); (c) national values for N excretion and EFs (NN scenario). Results of the FF scenario showed very good agreement among models, indicating that the underlying N flows of the different models are highly similar. As a result of the different national EFs and N excretion rates, larger differences among the results were observed for the FN and the NN scenarios. Reasons for the differences were primarily attributed to differences
