Several studies have shown that predictive and causal judgments vary depending on whether the question used to assess the relationship between events is presented after each piece of information or only after all the available information has been observed. This effect could be understood by assumin ..."

Abstract. Semantic sensor networks use declarative descriptions of sen-sors promote reuse and integration, and to help solve the difficulties of installing, querying and maintaining complex, heterogeneous sensor net-works. This paper reviews the state of the art for the semantic specifi-cation of sensors, one of the fundamental technologies in the semantic sensor network vision. Twelve sensor ontologies are reviewed and anal-ysed for the range and expressive power of their concepts. The reasoning and search technology developed in conjunction with these ontologies is also reviewed, as is technology for annotating OGC standards with links to ontologies. Sensor concepts that cannot be expressed accurately by current sensor ontologies are also discussed. 1

i A TRANSIENT COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMIC STUDY OF A LABORATORY-SCALE FLUORINE

by Ryno Pretorius, Supervisor Prof, P. L. Crouse, Electrolysis Cell
"... Fluorine gas is produced industrially by electrolysing hydrogen fluoride in a potassium acid fluoride electrolyte. Fluorine is produced at the carbon anode, while hydrogen is produced at the mild-steel cathode. The fluorine produced has a wide range of uses, most notably in the nuclear industry wher ..."
