Full Lifecycle Methodologies for Agent-Oriented Systems - The Extended OPEN Process Framework
- In Proceedings of Agent-Oriented Information Systems (AOIS-2002) at CAiSE’02
, 2002
"... The OPEN Process Framework (OPF) is a componentized OO development methodology underpinned by a full metamodel. Instances of each element of the metamodel are stored in a repository. Individual selections are then made in order to create a personalized process for software development. Originally a ..."

a development methodology targetted at object technology, the OPF has been recently extended to support agent-oriented information systems. Here, we describe that extension by means of an extended case study. We find that although much work has to be done to deal with `autonomous' components
ASPECS: an Agent-oriented Software Process for Engineering Complex Systems -- How to design . . .
- AUTONOMOUS AGENTS AND MULTI-AGENT SYSTEMS
, 2009
"... Holonic multiagent systems (HMAS) offer a promising software engineering approach for developing complex open software systems. However the process of building Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) and HMAS is mostly different from the process of building more traditional software systems as it introduces new d ..."

ASPECS is based on a holonic organisational metamodel and provides a step-by-step guide from requirements to code allowing the modelling of a system at different

Process Models for Agent-based Development
- Journal of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence
, 2005
"... A great deal of researches in the area of agent-oriented software engineering focuses on proposing methodologies for agent systems, i.e., on identifying the guidelines to drive the various phases of agent-based software development and the abstractions to be exploited in these phases. However, very ..."

Materials for an exploratory theory of the network society.
- The British Journal of Sociology
, 2000
"... ABSTRACT This article aims at proposing some elements for a grounded theor y of the network society. The network society is the social structure characteristic of the Information Age, as tentatively identi ed by empirical, cross-cultural investigation. It permeates most societies in the world, in v ..."

As this master thesis marks the end of my studies at Delft University of Technology, I would like to use this opportunity and thank everyone who has influenced my two-year journey. Those last two years have not been easy. In fact, it has been the most challenging, stressful, and at the same time- the most inspiring, productive, and exciting journey. Journey, which has completely changed my life and has prepared me for new challenges and opportunities. I owe a very special debt to the ex president of Georgia – Mikheil Saakashvili, for initiating a scholarship program for Georgian students abroad, willing to pursue master’s degree. I would like to thank Mr. Saakashvili for giving me a chance to be one of those students, and for fully sponsoring my studies at TU Delft. I must express special gratitude to my graduation committee for being way more supportive then I could ever imagine. I would like to thank them for all their feedback, support, and encouragement, for being very understanding, and shortly, for making it possible for me to finalize my thesis and to graduate. I would like to acknowledge the selfless help and support of my supervisor – Dr. Huib Aldewereld. His guidance and support encouraged me to be motivated and to keep working on the thesis. I would like to thank him for all his time that he has spent on reading my thesis, on giving me direct comments, and further motivation. I had times when I felt lost in my own thesis, and I was ready to give up, but Dr. Aldewereld always managed to encourage and motivate me. I would like to thank him for arranging meetings (lots of meetings) with me to discuss my progress, whenever I asked for it, despite his very
